Review by hotel critic
During our family vacation at the Lakes, we truly enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and charm of this charming motel. Our spacious unit was equipped with a kitchenette, ideal for preparing meals with the kids. The small fridge and basic cooking facilities served us well, though we appreciated the food trailers across the road for quick bites when we didn't feel like cooking. With Mount Cook National Park a short drive away, we took the kids on picturesque hikes, indulging in nature while making memories. The location also allowed for easy access to the town centre, where shops and restaurants are just a pleasant stroll away. The kids loved the spacious living area, and the snug spa bath was a hit after a long day exploring. Plus, the helpful proprietor even greeted us with a wee bottle of milk upon arrival-such a thoughtful touch! The Lakes was a fab family base for our adventures in scenic New Zealand.
